You've Aged to Perfection

July 6th, 2008

Every year we all age as we grow older. Wouldn't it be great if we "Age to Perfection" just like good wine. For all the wine lovers out there, here is a Birthday Card for you.

Stamps used for this card are from Crafty Secrets Clear Art Stamps - Wine Lovers. Wine bottle was stamped on Acetate with Black StazOn Ink. Colored the back side of the acetate with Bottle Alcohol Ink to get the greenish color of a bottle. Grape vines were stamped on a cream colored cardstock in Onyx Black Versafine and colored with various Tombow markers. Edges of the cs were heavily sponge with Walnut Stain Distress Ink from Tim Holtz. Glasses and cheese were stamped on white cs and colored with Tombow markers and topped with All Night Media Clear Liquid Embossing. Once the liquid embossing was dry, they were cut out by scissors. Wine bottle, glasses and cheese were glued to the centre of the main panel. Background panel was randonly stamped with the flourish from Crafty Secrets Clear Art Stamps Mini Memories stamp set in Vintage Sepia Versafine. Edges were once more sponged with Wanut Stain Distress Ink. Added a vintage lace around the top and side border of the background. Sentiment is from the Wine Lovers collention with was stamped on a cream cs with Vintage Sepia Versafine and sponge once again with Walnut Stain. Edges were further distress with a distressing tool from Making Memories. All the different layers were mounted on brown Bazzil cs. Last finishing touch to the card are 3 bronze brads lined up on the bottom right side of the card.

  1. OK, you did get one set I'd have picked! DH is a wine lover so I might just have to get it anyway! This worked out great - the acetate bottle looks wonderful and I love the vintage crochet lace trim!
