Today's Special

July 21, 2008

Here is a card I made for today's Try a New Technique Challenge TLC178 is a combination of 3 old challenges. TLC20 to use baby wipes, CC30 to use Bravo Burgandy and Creamy Caramel, and SC40 a sketch challenge over at Splitcoast stampers.

For today's card I used stamps from the Kitchen Classic, Little Chef and Tophat - ABC collections of Crafty Secrets Clear Art Stamps. Images were stamped 2x with Burgandy (didn't have Bravo Burgandy) on a caramel cs. Second stamped image was topped with Liquid Embossing and cut out. This was later on raised on the 1st stamped images. Used a circle punch to cut around the images and mounted them on Burgandy and caramel circle scalloped cs. Dabbed around the edges of the caramel cs with Creamy caramel using baby wipes. Scalloped layers were dotted with souffle pens on each scallop. Little chef and letters spelling Cherry Pie was stamped on a rectangular caramel cs with Onyx Black Versafine. Colored letters and apron with burgandy using a Tombow marker. Background paper is from Cosmo Cricket's Be Good.

Stamps: Kitchen Classic, Little Chef and Tophat - ABC Crafty Secrets Clear Art Stamps
Paper: DP Cosmo Cricket's Be Good and Burgandy/caramel cs
Ink: Onyx Black Versafine, Burgandy Tombow marker and souffle pens
Accessories: Circle punch, circle scallop nestabilities and liquid embossing
