Here is a card made for the Ways to Use It Technique over at Splitcoast Stampers. Today technique is to use cracking in project.

For this card I used the Vintage Stamp Set from Crafty Secrets Clear Art Stamps. The image was stamped on white cs with Onyx Black Versafine. Used a tiny sponged tip applicator to sponge Galaxy Gold and Moonlight White on the image. I then stippled Walnut stain around the image and then sponge the very edges of the panel with the same ink. Stamped a Holly leaves on a separate cs and colored it with green and red Tombow markers. Cut the holly leaf out and adhered it to the top of Santa. I then applied Versamark to the top of the panel and heat embossed it 3x with Clear UTEE. After the UTEE cooled down I then bent the panel to form the cracks. This was matted onto dark green DP then on to burgandy DP. Background paper from the Pastel Paper Design collection of Crafty Secrets was distressed on the edges with Walnut Stain and then I randomly stamped the flourished from the same stamp set with Lightning Black. Adhered a strip of burgandy DP and the star DP from 'tis the season collection of studio 8 paper company. Most of the layers were edged with Gold Gel Pen. Used Peel Offs for my sentiment. Here is a card that using stamps from the Cherish and Hardware stamp collection of Crafty Secrets Clear Art Stamps. Stamped the pillars on both sides of the 3-3/4x4' cs with Jet Black Impress ink and colored it with Cool Gray Copic markers. Beautiful Litte Dancer

July 11, 2008

Sorry for not posting anything yesterday. Had to many things to catch up on from work and brought it home.

I will make up for it with several pictures of the mini album I made using paper and stickers from Crafty Secrets.

Here is what I posted over at Splitacoast.

Here is a mini album for the WT174 Mini Madness challenge. Most products used in this album is from Crafty Secrets. My niece, Emilia is turning 10 in just a few weeks. Just recently, she had a dance recital and I thought that it would be really great to give this album to her as a Birthday gift. She can put all her dance pictures in this book. As well, there is space for her to put pictures of special moments captured with each member of her family. The mini album itself was made with 4 bracket shaped covers from Teresa Collins which I cover with paper from Crafty Secrets Pastel Paper Designs. Distressed the look of the paper by sponging each page with Walnut stain Distressing Ink. Used stickers from Little Girls, also from Crafty Secrets. To add to the vintage look, I added some old lace I found. Used Bind-it-All to bind the book together. Lots of ribbon on the rings.

Paper: Pastel Paper Designs
Ink: Walnuts Stain Distressing Ink
Accessories: 4 Bracket Chipboard covers, ribbon, lace, liquid emobssing and Bind-it-All
