September 26, 2009

Happy Saturday to everyone. Hope you all are enjoying this sunny weekend.

I have a lot of card challenges catching up to do. Today I am posting 4 cards for different Crafty Secret challenges over the last 2 months in different sites:

Paper Craft Planet
Paperee
Splitcoast Stampers

First 2 are for Darlene's Paper Craft Planet challenges.

The third card is for Julie's challenge over at Paperee.

And the fourth one is for the Crafty Secrets Forum challenge over at Splitcoast stampers.

If I have not posted a project yet for a Crafty Secrets challenge you had over the last 2 months, I promise to check them out and make something for them soon.

Take care everyone and have a wonderful weekend.

Thanksgiving Day

September 25, 2009

Today is a special day for the ladies of the Crafty Secrets Design Team as we are having a Crafty Secrets Design Team Blog Hop. So please join me in visiting each of the DT members blog listed in the links below and see the beautiful work that they have prepared for you today.

Vicki, our beloved team leader has asked us to make a project using any CS stamp set and your card or layout should be a different shape or size.

My project for today uses the Thanksgiving stamp set and Sweet Chips Chipboard from Crafty Secrets. The stamped images were stamped on an off-white cs with Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Image was colored with various colors of Copic markers then die cut and embossed with the Labels 4 nestabilities from Spellbinders. Edges were distressed by sponging Tea Dye distress ink and also lined with a gold metallic gelly roll pen from Sakura. The panel was mounted on to burgandy cs and sprayed with Old Lace Glimmer Mist. I covered the Sweet Chips chipboard with burgandy cs and a DP from the Radiant Paper Pad of Crafty Secrets. Edges were also lined with the gold metallic gelly roll pen. Added a gold ribbon to finish my project.

Now it is time to take a look at other projects prepared for you by the rest of out team. Simply click on each of their names and you will be amazed at what they have prepared for you.

Don't forget to also visit the following sites of Crafty Secrets and Heartwarming Vintage Collection.

Hope you all enjoy this beautiful Friday and coming weekend.

A Merry Halloween

September, 12, 2009

First of all, just want to say hello to all of you. I have not been blogging for over a month now. First, I was away on vacation, then came home to a very slow computer. Had to bring it back to factory settings and then on top of that had problems downloading the driver to my all-in-one printer. Well, I have not yet solved the slowness problems of this computer. I think it is finally giving up on me after 4 years. Time to get a new one, but that will have to wait for awhile. So, I you do not see me joining in with the challenges I normally participate in, or have not posted comments on your projects and blogs, please forgive me. It is hard going from blog to blog with a very slow computer.

I have a post tonight for a challenge that Lori Lynn posted 2 weeks ago in Splitcoast Stampers entitled "playing with plaid". This is the front cover of a Halloween Mini Album that I am making. Black plaid DP that is cover the Sweet Chips house is from the Earthy Paper Pad of Crafty Secrets. Used one to the Halloween images from the Haloween Postcard kits and used the heart, square and start embelishments that come with the kit. Used some Spider Wed ribbon on the back of the window frame, added some cut up ribbon to the ring, then pumpkin ribbon to the bottom portion of the house. Roof top was made with a lacey scallop border punch.

Hope you all are enjoying your weekend,

Marisa
