Marcy is this week's host for the Tuesday Crafty Secrets Forum challenge and the theme for this challenge is "Lost & Found". I knew I had this stamp set from Crafty Secrets - Cofee & Tea for some time now and never used it until today. It got lost in between all the stamp set that I had, but now I found it and decided to use it for today's challenge. Stamped the images onto white cs with Tuxedo Black Memento and colored it with Copic markers. Main image was cut with a circle coluzzle and matted it on to a brown scalloped circle that was die cut with the scallop circle nestibilities. Other 2 images was cut with scissors. Used liquid applique for the foam on the coffee. Other 2 circles were cut with 3 sizes of circle scallop nestabilities. Punched a strip of brown cs with the MS Lace border punch and topped it with a Lace ribbon that I had purchased awhile back but never got around to using it. BG paper is from Paper Pizazz - Tan Scollwork Stripes.

Your Fortune Says

January 19, 2009

For today's card I used one of the new sets that Crafty Secrets just released - Lucky Wishes. This card was made for today's Technique Lover's Challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers.

Started off by stamping the crystal ball onto white cs with Platinum Planet Brilliance ink and then heat embossing it with Fine Clear Embossing poweder. After that I stamped the sentiment, clover leaf, horseshoe and wish bone. Then I topped it off with clear liquid embossing and let it dry completely. While it was drying, I stamped over 30 dice onto white cs and cut each out with scissors. Then adhered double side Sookwang adhesive to a 4 x 10-1/2 piece of white cs and placed the dice pieces on top. Poured Silver embossing powder on top of this strip, tapped off the excess powder and melted it with a heat gun. Devided the strip into 2 pieces, matted it with black cs and placed it on top and below my card base. Layered a strip of DP from the Radiant Paper design that was sprayed with Silver bells Glimmer Mist. Fortune Teller was stamped on white cs with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored with Copic markers. Used a bangle bling on the turban and a clear rhinestone on the ring. Once the crystal ball was completely dried I matted it on top of a black cs that was die cut using the Labels2 nesty. Black piece was also sprayed with Glimmer Mist. Final touch to the card is 3 more bangle blings to the right side of the centre strip.

This was a really fun technique and stamp set to use.

Bouquets of Joy

January 17, 2009

Boy I am glad it is the weekend. So much work to do during the week and this just one weekend I am looking forward to. Just want to relax and play with my stamps and not have to worry about work.

I got up bright and early this morning to finish off a card that I made using the new released stamps set from Crafty Secrets - Bouquets of Joy. This card was also made for the inspiration challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers.

Started off by stamping the image of the cute little girl carrying a bouquet of flowers 3x on white cs with Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Colored all 3 with Copic markers (Ijust love these markers). Then proceeded to cut out the flowers from 2 of the stamped images. These were mounted on top of the first image for dimension and then topped off with Liquid Embossing. Let this completely dry before doing anything else to it. In the meantime I prepared the background piece of the card. Paper used for the background and all the matting is from the Euphoria Paper Pad of BasicGrey. Used a corner punch for some of the corners of the different layers. Sentiment was stamped on white cs with Onyx Black Versafine and sponged around the edges with Grape Jelly Memento ink. This was matted on to a dp from the Euphoria collection. Added 2 designer brads from Basic Grey's Euphoria to the top ends of the sentiment panel. Once the first panel was dry, the corners were punched and the edges were sponged with Pearlescent Purple Brillance ink and matted to the green DP. For the finishing touches to the card, I added some ribbon and a heart pin.

Hope you all are enjoying all the new stamp sets. Can't wait to show you more stuff.

New Stamp Sets

January 15, 2009

Today I am excited to share with you 3 cards I made using the new stamp sets from Crafty Secrets Clear Art Stamps.

The first card uses stamps from the set Feeling Yucky which will be available tomorrow January 16th. This set has so many cute images and fun to use. I first stamped the poor little ducky who is crying on white cs with Tuxedo Black Memento and colored it with Copic markers. I then stamped the Campbell Soup Nurse and injection onto another piece of white cs, colored them with copics and cut the images out. I then die cut the duck and pink matting with the Labels2 nesty. This panel was the mounted on the centre panel. Behind the centre panel I placed some lace border punched DP and proceeded to mount that onto the background DP from BasicGrey. Added some Prima flowers, punch ferns and stickers from the Feel Better sticker collection of Hearthwarming Vintage stickers.

The next card uses stamps from the Sweet Stuff stamp set which is now available for purchase from Shopatron. Again this is another cute stamp set with so many possibilities. The card was also made for the Wednesday sketch challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers. The image of the Little Girl digging in to the cookie jar was stamped 4 times on different DP from the Radiant Paper Design of Crafty Secrets, cut out and pieced together. Hair, face and arms were colored with Copic markers. Cookie cutters were stamps on a white cs sponged with copper ink, then cut out and topped with liquid embossing.

The final card I am sharing with you tonight is from the Chandelier Fun stamp set which will also be available tomorrow. I stamped the chandelier on white cs with Tuxedo Black Versafine, colored it with Copic markers and then proceeded to cut all around the image. Wow, did that take a lot of patience. I used a surgical scalpel to cut around the tiny spaces and scissors for the edges of the chandelier. I also stamped the light bulbs on white cs, colored it with Copics and cut them out. After that I used an Antique Glass Finish liquid embossing on top of the images and let it dry. Once they were all dry I mounted the chandelier and all the light bulbs onto white cs that I sponged with Daffodil and Walnut stain distress ink. Die cut the purple scallop square and mounted that onto my background DP from the Classic Paper Design of Crafty Secrets. Used a sentiment from the same stamp set which I stamped on white cs that was again sponge with Daffodil and Walnut stain. Used the Ribbon Label trio from Spellbinders and held it on with ribbon. Punch holes all along the edge of the background DP and drew lines from one hole to another to make it look like stitches.

You may want to check the Heartwarming Vintage blog. Sandy is giving out some prizes, 1 large, 1 medium and 1 small Clear Art Stamp set! Imagine

January 7, 2009

Here is a card I made a while ago for a Featured Stampers Challenge. I was not able to post it for that challenge and now I cannot remember who the Featured Stamper was. When I remember, I will update my blog, so that I can give credit were credit is due.

Continuing, with my sneak peeks of the Fairyland Stamp set that will be available after the Winter CHA, here is the card I made for that challenge.

I first stamped the cute fairy on white cs with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored it with Copic markers. Next, I masked the fairy and stamped the mushroom underneath. Mushroom was also colored with Copic markers. Then I proceeded to stamp the grass and flowers at the bottom of my scene. Also stamped the vines from the same stamp set and masked portions that I did not want to overlap. Background clouds were done by die cutting an oval scallop and sponging outward around the edges of the scallops. Used a corner punch and sponged all around the edges of the border. This was matted onto a DP from the Classic Paper Design of Crafty Secrets that was also sponged on the edges. Added ribbon and tag with sentiment made from stamps from the same stamp set.

Hope you ar all enjoying these peeks into the new sets that will be coming out soon. Also, do check out the galleries of the rest of the Crafty Secrets Design Team. They too, are starting to post some of the samples using the rest of the sets that will be released for the CHA.

The last background DP is also from the Earthy Collection and on this paper I stamped some feathers. Edges were also pierced and lines were drawn to look like I had stitched it. Best Wishes

January 5, 2009

For today, I want to share with you all a sneak peek at one of the few stamp sets that will be released by Crafty Secrets in the Winter CHA. The stamp I used today is from the Fairyland set. This is a large set with 24 different images.

This card was made for the Technique Lovers Challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers. Image was stamped on white cs with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored with Copic markers. Background circle was also colored with different shades of blue Copic markers. The circle was mounted on to yellow cs that was die cut with the Labels2 nesty. Did some sponging on the edges with Faded Jeans Distress Ink. Background DP is from the Pastel Paper Design of Crafty Secrets. Used the Tacky Glitter technique around the base of the card and on the stars. For the stars I covered a strip of cs with double sided tape from Sookwang, peeled off the backing of the tape and poured Champagne Micro Fine Glitter from Glitter Ritz. Brushed of the excess glitter using a make-up brush then rubbed the glitter with my finger to adhere it to the tape and let the shine of the glitter come out (Burnished Velvet technique). I then punched stars from this glittered cs and randomly places it onto the background DP. Cut 2 more pieces of yellow cs with the Label2 and added my sentiment. Edges were distressed with Faded Jeans. Finished the card off with Ribbon.

Check out Pam Hooten's Blog for a sneak peek at yet another new stamp set from Crafty Secrets that is being released at CHA - Lucky Wishes.
