Just finished making a card for Mom's 85th Birthday and now this card is for Mom from the Grandkids. All mom's grandchildren call her "Bita" short for the Spanish version of Grandmother - Abuelita. Although my kids do not get to see their Grandmother often as she is very far away, they love her dearly.
This image taken from the Childhood Images and Journal Notes from Crafty Secrets truly reminds me of the time they were able to spend with her. She loved receiving lots of hugs and kisses from them.
This card was made for the weekly Tuesday challenge over at the Crafty Secrets forum. Every Tuesday one of the girls posts a challenge to use products from Crafty Secrets. Do check it out as we have lots of fun. This week, PammyJo has challenged us to with "Stiched and Torn" First the image of the lady with the little girl was torn throughout the edges and distressed with Walnut Stain. This image was mounted by machine sewing onto a pink cs that was also distressed. Back ground paper from the Radiant Paper Designs of Crafty Secrets was sewn on to the Pink Card base. Added some vintage lace and flowers to finish of the card.
