New Boy in Town

August 19, 2008

This is the first time I am joining a challenge over at Technostamper's blog. Every Monday, Mary Jo posts a challenge in her blog. Here is a card I made for that sketch challenge.

Stamped little boy image from Baby Boy stamps set Crafty Secrets Clear Art Stamps onto white cs with Jet Black Impress Ink. Colored the image with copic markers and die cut with round Sizzix. Sponged the edges with Heliotrope Versa Color. Mounted the main image to yellow and green round scalloped cs and distressed the edges with Certainly Celery and More Mustard. Smaller background panels were embossed with Cuttlebug embossing folders, edges were distressed with a Making Memory distressing tool, sponged some Certainly Celery and More mustard around the edges and on the raised embossed portions. Background paper is from the Pastel Paper Design collection of Crafty Secrets which was also distressed on the edges and sponged with More Mustard. Used clear buttons that were colored with copic markers and added ribbon to the right side of the card.

Stamps: Baby Boy Crafty Secrets Clear Art Stamps
Ink: Jet Black Impress Ink, Mor Mustard, Certainly Celery, Walnut Stain, Heliotrope and copic markers
Paper: Classic Paper Design Crafty Secrets, green, yellow and white cs
Accessories: Ribbon, buttons, CuttleBug Embossing folders and distressing tool
