Wild About You

September 6, 2008

Here is a card made for the Inpiration Challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers. This Saturday's challenge is to get inspiration from a picture in the website Catherine's Animals. I selected a Zebra for this challenge.

Stamped the Zebra on white cs with Onyx Black Versafine. Cut a circle with a Making Memories Circle Cutter and then sponged around the edges with Canary ColorBox. This was then mounted on to a yellow round scallop, then black round scallop. Round scallops were cut using Spellbinder's nestabilities. Used a souffle pen and black Sharpie to make the dots around the scallops. Sentiment was stamped on Yellow cs with Onyx Black Versafine. Dotted the edges with a black Sharpie and mounted it on to a Black rectagular scallop. Dotted around the scallops with a Souffle pen. Background was made by stamping a white cs with Wildflowers in Versamark, then heat embossing with white embossing powder. Sponge Canary ColorBox all over the cs, then wipe off the ink from the embossed images with a tissue paper. The background paper was mounted on to a black cs which I dotted with a Souffle pen. Added ribbon and brads to finish the card off.

Stamps: Zoology and Dreamer
Paper: White, yellow and black cs
Ink: Canary ColorBox, Onyx Black Versafine, Souffle pen and Black Sharpie
Accessories: White Embossing powder, ribbon and brad

  1. This is a lovely card; the black lacy edging really brings the zebra to life. Well done.
