June 9, 2008

This card was made for the Jume Ambassador Challenge # 2 hosted by MFT. The required technique is to use Dimension in the card with the Paper Tole technique to stamp the image 3 times then cut out and layer the different images with a pop-dot!MFT stamp is from By the Seashore collection. Which was stamped 4 times on white cs then on 3 different DP's from BasicGrey's Sugared collection. Each stamped layer was cut and layered on top of one another. Background was made by sponging the path and the sky. Grass was from a stamp by All Night Media.

This next card was for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge. Small Tulip stamp is from Make an Impression, which was stamped 3 times in Onyx Black Versafine. The colored with Lilac and Tea Leaves. Cut the image to add dimension and layers the different pieces. DP is from Paper Pizzaz.

I thoroughly enjoy participating in these challenges. It helps me improve on my style by trying out new techniques and improving on old ones.

I would like to thank all those who keep us busy with these challenges. Keep them coming.

Here is a card that I made for Tamara Wheeler's card sketch #46 challenge that was posted on her blog on Thursday, May 29th.This is another beach scene using stamps from Crafty Secrets Seaside.

This is the card I made for Tuesday's color challenge at Splitcoast to use Blue Bayou, Soft Sky and Real red. Used Peacock and combination of Aqua and Aspen Mist.Stamped image and sentiment is from Technique Tuesday's Zoology.DP is from Chatter Box Sky Floral Quilt which is added Red Glaze Pen to the center of the flower to match the color combo.

And for today's sketch challenge here is my creation. First time I am using this stamp from Crafty Secret's Story of Me. Used Lyra Aqua Colors to color in the image which was stamped on white CS in Onyx Black Versafine then cut out and pop up of CS sponged and stippled with Creamy Brown.DP is from The Paper Loft - Grandmas house.

Inspiration and Featured Stamper Challenge

June 1, 2008

Wow, can you imagine, it is already June. How time flies.

Here are 2 more cards that I made over the weekend.

The first one is an Inspiration challenge. Inspiration for this card is from the lace in this Eduardian dress Christina Ricci wore in the movie Casper as seen here. Background of this card is vellum embosed with Cuttlebug's Textile Texture embossing folder. Card was framed with ribbon from American Crafts. Main image is flower stamp from Magenta which was colored with Tombow and Zig Brushables.

The second card is a case from the featured stampers (Maren) gallery. Stamp is from Stampendous - Fluffles the Cat. DP is from the Sugared Collection of BasicGrey. Image was stamped 2x with Onyx Black Versafine. Flowers and Fluffles was colored using Tombow and Zig Brushables. Flower pot was colored with Lyra Aqua Color and topped with Liquid embossing. Flowers were cut and raised with dimensionals and stickles were added.

Happy June to you all.
